Author Guidelines

The journal “Digital Transformation” publishes materials on economic and technical branches of science that have a certain scientific value, theoretical and practical significance, and have not been published before.

Article design sample

The rules for authors are based on the " CSE’s White Paper on Promotion Integrity in Scientific Journal Publications, 2012 Update".

The goals of the journal are to summarize scientific and practical achievements in the fields of economics, informatics, computer technology and education; to improve the scientific and practical qualifications of teachers and economists.

The objectives of the journal are to publish articles of scientists working in the fields of economics, informatics, computer technology and education; to publish materials from reports of scientific and technical conferences held at the educational institution "Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics".

The journal accepts materials reflecting the results of original scientific research and development that have not been published or are not intended for publication in other journals.

Submitting an article for consideration

The manuscript of the article is sent to the editorial board via the online form (https://dt.bsuir.by/jour/author/submit/1). The file with the article uploaded to the system must be in Microsoft Word format and have the extension *.doc). When formatting the manuscript of the article, it is necessary to use the Article design sample with the preservation of all the styles applied in it.  The volume of articles accepted for publication should not exceed 12 pages (minimum volume - 4 pages).

Interaction between the journal and authors

The editorial board of the journal corresponds with the author responsible for interaction with the editorial board on the issue of publishing the article. It is important to indicate the author's phone number and e-mail correctly.

All articles submitted to the editorial board of the “Digital Transformation” journal undergo a preliminary check for compliance with formal requirements and design requirements. At this stage, the article may be returned to the authors for revision with a request to correct errors or add missing data. Also at this stage, the article may be rejected due to its inconsistency with the goals of the journal, a low percentage of originality (all articles are checked by the Antiplagiat system), or low scientific value.

In case of a positive result of the preliminary check of the article, the author responsible for interaction with the editorial board on the issue of publishing the article is sent a corresponding notification. After receiving this notification, the author must submit the following documents to the editorial board of the journal:

– a printout of the article signed by each of the authors of the article;

– an expert opinion on the possibility of publishing the article in an open source.

Working hours of the responsible secretary of the editorial board of the "Digital Transformation" journal: Monday - Friday from 9.30 to 15.00.

Reviewing

After receiving the above documents, the article is forwarded to the reviewers. The average review period for articles is from 4 to 12 weeks.The author responsible for interacting with the editors on the issue of publishing the article is sent a corresponding notification. In controversial cases, several specialists, as well as the deputy editor-in-chief, may be involved in the review process.

If the reviewer's conclusion is positive, the article is forwarded to the executive secretary to organize preparation for printing. Before publication, the file with the final version of the article's layout is sent to the author responsible for interacting with the editors on the issue of publishing the article. The author is obliged to check the content of this article for correctness within 2 days and send information on the results of the check to the editors of the journal. If such information is not provided within the specified period, the file with the final version of the article's layout sent to the authors for approval is considered approved.

When a decision is made to revise the article, the reviewer's comments are forwarded to the author responsible for interacting with the editors on the issue of publishing the article. The authors of the article are given 1 month to correct the reviewer's comments. If, within this period, the author responsible for interacting with the editorial board on the issue of publishing the article has not notified the editorial board of the planned actions, the article is removed from the publication queue.

When a decision is made to refuse publishing an article, the author responsible for interacting with the editorial board on the issue of publishing the article is sent a corresponding notification.

Procedure for reviewing comments on the article

If the author does not agree with the reviewer's and/or editor's conclusion or individual comments, he/she may challenge the decision. To do this, the author must:

– correct the manuscript of the article in accordance with the reviewer's comments with which he/she agrees;

– submit a written, signed, reasoned refusal to correct the reviewer's comments with which he/she disagrees.

Actions of the editors in case of detection of plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data

In case of detection of misconduct by the author, detection of plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data, the editors are guided by the COPE rules.

The editors of the journal "Digital Transformation" understand "misconduct" to be any actions of a scientist, including improper handling of objects of study or intentional manipulation of scientific information, as well as behavior of a scientist that does not meet accepted ethical and scientific standards.

The editors of the journal "Digital Transformation" do not include honest errors or honest discrepancies in the design, conduct, interpretation or evaluation of research methods or results, or misconduct unrelated to the scientific process, as "misconduct".

Correction of errors and retraction of the article

If errors are found in the text of the article that affect its perception, but do not distort the presented research results, they can be corrected by replacing the pdf file of the article and indicating the error in the article file itself and on the article page on the journal website.

If errors are found in the text of the article that distort the research results, or in the case of plagiarism, detection of dishonest behavior of the author (authors) associated with falsification and/or fabrication of data, the article can be retracted. The initiator of the retraction of the article can be the editorial board of the journal, the author, an organization, an individual.

The retracted article is marked with the sign "Article retracted", information about the reason for the retraction of the article is posted on the article page. Information about the retraction of the article is sent to the databases in which the journal is indexed.
